Stitched Owl

I made this card for a challenge on UK Stampers Forum Facebook page.  The challenge is to include sewing related images or actual sewing +  a stamped image.

I used a Marianne Design cross-stitched tag die cut and chopped the top off to make a rectangle.  I used crochet cotton for cross-stitching. For the stamping I used a border stamp from the Stampin' Up 'A Little Lace' set.  I stamped the border twice in Memento 'Rich Cocoa' and added a little touch of deep yellow with a Promarker.  I used the same ink pad for the sentiment, which is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Best Year' set.

  2. What a cute little owl, and I love the cross stitching. I've actually been doing a little cross stitching myself lately, but on cloth. I hadn't done it for many years. I love your border stamp and the font of your sentiment, too.
