Cacti Bowl and Holiday Photos ~ Warning, Long Post!

A card today made for a crafty friend's birthday.

The image is a Woodware 'Succulent Display' stamp, coloured with Promrkers.  I used Lisa Horton's 'Scalloped Layered Squares' dies for matting and layering.  The sentiment is a Woodware stamp and I used a die from the Memory Box 'Stitched Country Borders' set for the scalloped border.

I am joining in the following challenges:

If you have read this far, as promised in a previous post, here are just a few of my recent holiday photos.

We started our holiday with a few days in Hamburg in Germany.
Then we caught the sleeper train to Innsbruck, Austria, which was quite an experience!

This was my bed for the night!

We arrived at our destination for two weeks in beautiful Seefeld, Austria.  Our self-catering accommodation was on top floor........

...... and we woke up to this view every morning from our balcony.

One of the local churches.

A trip by chair lift to the top of the mountain overlooking the town.

Wonderful weather for most of the holiday, with so many lakes and mountains to visit.

A short train ride over the border into Mittenwald, Germany for the day.

Mittenwald

Finally, onto Vienna for our last few days.
The Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna.

A trip to Vienna wouldn't have been complete without sampling the famous Sachertorte.

So sad to hear in the news about all the flooding this week in places we visited only a couple of weeks ago.

This bowl full of cacti is so pretty Liz and I love the stitched scallop square to layer it onto and the scallop border along the bottom in that wonderful blue, and a lovely large birthday sentiment to finish..a beautiful card. Wow, what a super holiday you had and the weather looked so good with a city break in Hamburg, and then the great scenery around Seefeld, and of course lovely Vienna...that Sachertorte looks mouthwatering! Dreadful flooding too since you were there..so horrid. x
