Looks like lots more crafting time after listening to the Prime Minister's 'talk to the nation' yesterday evening. There will be plenty of time to join in more cardmaking challenges, every cloud has a silver lining. We've been mainly staying in for the last week, although we did go for a walk along a fairly deserted beach on Friday to get some fresh sea air. I hope you are following whatever the advice is in your country and fingers crossed it won't be too long before things get back to normal. Thank goodness for crafting and all our wonderful blogging friends!
The Twofer Challenge this month is 'Spring Animals', two cards with different designs, for two different occasions, using the same stamp, die or stencil using the prompt word. I decided to use a bunny stamp on both cards. It's a NBUS stamp, part of a set that came as a magazine freebie. The date on the packet is 2014, so it's about time with was inked up!
I am joining in the following challenges with this card:
Craftlandia Challenge 2 ~ Pink and/or Blue
Allsorts Challenge Week 564 ~ Anything In The Animal Kingdom
Simply Create Too Challenge #158 ~ Shaped Card
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper March Challenge
Tales From the Craft Room Challenge #3 ~ Furry Friends
Sparkles Monthly Challenge #126 Easter

I am joining in the Twofer Challenge with this pair of cards.
My first card is for friends who are about to become grandparents any day now. Having seen twisted easel cards on various blogs, I decided that today was the day I was going to attempt my first one. The image was coloured with Promarkers and matted and layered using Memory Box stitched dies. The sentiment was computer generated and raised up on foam pads. I add five punched flowers along one edge, the flower shapes matching the flowers in the image.

My second card uses the same stamp, but this time I've used it for an Easter card. Again I've used Promarkers to colour the image and I used two of the Promarkers to colour some white pearls. The ribbon was a snippet, just long enough to go across the card and as the yellow and green card was also from my snippets drawers, I'll be sharing my card over in The Playground.

Hi Liz! Your cards are sooo cute! I have got that bunny stamp too, and I love it! I made a card with it, just have a look at my blog (a few post below the most recent one!)
ReplyDeleteStay fine, Lia xx
Two FABULOUS and different cards using that adorable bunny image Liz! Your baby card is absolutely ADORABLE and I love the way it's folded...never tried one like that but think it's a must after seeing this! Your Easter card is just as adorable too and thanks for reminding me about coloring on pearls! Take care, stay safe, and thanks for sharing with us at The Twofer Challenge!! :0)
ReplyDeleteThat's a sweet bunny stamp and you've made two super cards for the twofer challenge. Now I'm wondering if the bunny is lurking in my stash as a NBUS!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were able to get out in the fresh air for a bit. They are telling us here to go outside but keep your distance and we are suppose to warm up later in the week so we can do that. These bunny cards are adorable. I love that you made a welcome baby card and it is perfect. I like the way it folds. I love the green and yellow for Easter.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards Liz - that bunny is so cute!

ReplyDeleteYour Twofers are both beautiful Liz and I love the twisted easel shape on the first and pretty gingham and flowers and then the yellow and green is so fresh and spring like on the second, and your bunny is so cute too. x
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous cards Liz, glad you managed a walk along the beach.

Both gorgeous Liz, it's good to stretch your mind (and your stamps!) to make more than one using the same image. That cute bunny looks familiar...I think I have it somewhere too!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to stretch your legs and get some fresh air. Been out for walks with the dog, woods are just around the corner from us and it's easy to stay away from other dog walkers there! Delivered a few necessities to more vulnerable friends' doorsteps...and that's it!
xx
How cute your cards are, Liz! Great coloring! And I love your beautiful easel card!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU so much for joing Craftlandia Challenge 2, my dear friend. Kisses and please stay safe. I thank God that I love crafting is these strange days.
Great job on the twisted easel card! It's so perfect for new grandparents! Also loving that sweet little sentiment on the 2nd card too! Fun twofer- NJ on both!

These are such cute Twofers. I'm glad you got to ink them up. Perfect for the challenges and it'll be so nice to give the one card to the new grandparents to be. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteI think it is time you used that sweet NBUS bunny, Liz! I love the way the flowers go right through him as if he is actually a hollow chocolate bunny underneath those darling "clothes" you've got him wearing! Or has the Coronavirus and my resulting uptick in choccie consumption coloring the way I'm looking at your adorable bunny?! Help, lol!! You did a really fine job with that twisted easel fold. The fold and the perfect gingham design will delight the new grandparents! I hope it isn't too long before they'll be able to see and hold the baby.
ReplyDeleteAnd your Easter design is a lovely layout! I will be bookmarking this as a nice sketch to use. I like all the details and their placement. Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #25! Take care, my friend!! 😷 Hugs, Darnell
