Teepee Card

I hope everyone is keeping safe and well and finding lots of time to craft.

After a successful Cyber Craft day with our craft group last Saturday, another one was held yesterday evening with just one challenge.... to use hexagons and/or triangles.  I decided to make my first Teepee card, following the instructions in this YouTube video.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_B-BPnYr0qQ   using both triangles and hexagons.  I was lucky enough to be sent the card in the video!  😊

After watching the video, I realised that the card is so much easier to make than it looks. The patterned paper is from SU.   The poppy stamp is from the SU 'Painted Poppies' set of stamps, stamped with Memento 'Tuxedo Black' and coloured with Promarkers.  I used Memory Box 'Stitched Hexagon Layers' dies to die cut the image and sentiment.  The red mats were hand cut and the sentiment is raised up on foam pads. I added a few red pearls for added interest.   As poppies begin flowering in May, I'm hoping my card qualifies for a few flower challenges where the theme is Spring Flowers.

I am joining in the following challenges:

  10. What a clever design Liz and I'll take your word for how easy it is. I am hopeless when it comes to measuring, I try hard but generally it is not totally acurate which frustrates me. I love the sweet poppies and the pretty green and white spotted background looks great and the stitched hexagons are perfect. x
