Two cards today.....

Well, England goes into a four week lockdown on Thursday, so I guess there will be more time for crafting.  Every cloud has a silver lining!

I've got two cards to share today.  My first card is a birthday card I made for a friend who loves anything swan related.   Blue and white cards always seem to looks so fresh and are one of my favourite colour combinations.

I used a Memory Box 'Grand Happy Birthday' die and backed 'birthday' with plain blue card.  The swan is a Memory Box 'Gentle Swan' die cut and I added a little colour for the eye and beak with fine Sharpie pens.  For the embossing I used a Creative Expression 'Ocean Waves' embossing folder.  Three white pearls finished off my card.

I am joining in the following challenges with this card:

My second card is a Christmas card so I can join in with Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards Challenge which begins today (although it's already tomorrow in Australia!)  Day 1 is the letter 'A' so my card includes 'Adorable Snowmen'.  A bit of a loose link, but they ARE adorable!

The image is one of Beccy's precoloured digi stamps from the 'Snowman' set.  The sentiment is computer generated.  I die cut the image with a Memory Box 'Stitched Square Layers' die and layered it on a green mat.  I embossed the background with a music embossing folder and added a strip of green ribbon across the bottom.  I added a strip of card under the ribbon so the embossing doesn't show through the ribbon.  The embossed card was layered on a green mat and I added a die cut snowflake to the corner of the image.

I am joining in the following challenges with this card:

  8. Lovely card Liz - and I think they are adorable. I used an angel image for mine but I've seen so many other A words that others have used when I've looked at their cards. I hope I can get the chance to come and see what else you create this month (if the entries don't get too high too quickly!)
