Christmas Penguins

Time for another Rudolph Days challenge, which runs from the 25th until the end of each month.  

For my card I used an old wood mounted Stampendous 'Penguin Pals' stamp, which I stamped in Memento 'Tuxedo Black' and coloured with Promarkers.  The sentiment is from Papermania set of Christmas stamps, stamped in Versafine 'Black Onyx'.  I added a clear gem to the star in the sentiment to add a little sparkle.  The image and sentiment was die cut with a stitched rectangle die from The Works.  I wasn't going to buy this set, even though it's very inexpensive, as I already have MB stitched rectangles.  However, when saw it IRL, I realised that the rectangles are longer and thinner and the smallest ones will be perfect for die cutting longer sentiments.   The Christmas lights patterned paper is from a Docrafts paper stack and five Card Candi finished off my card.

    I adore your cute penguins Liz and they look great on that stitched rectangle and with the red layering and pretty fairy lights paper, and the red and green brads are the perfect embellishment. I must go yo The Works and have a look at these dies. I don't have any rectangular stitched dies so they would be useful, and as you say they are all different shapes and sizes so will be good for sentiments too. x

    What fun this card is with all those Christmas lights in the image and background paper! I love the Candi Dots and wish I'd bought more as my supply is just about depleted now! LOL

    This is such a lovely card! The penguins as really cute and the Design Paper is perfect for this image!
    Loving the card candi I never bought any solid coloured ones when they had it over here and I have always regretted it. I did buy the ones covered with typewritten words and have yet to use them. Perhaps you will inspire me to go on a search for them!

    Lovely card, love the cute penguins and I really like that sentiment stamp, lovely font. I also bought those rectangles from the works,same as you I already had th MB ones but I'm finding I use them more that the MB ones for some reason
