The Less is More Challenge is joining forces this time with the AAA CAS Cards Challenge, which is a 'One Layer - Coloured Cardbase' challenge. I had in idea in my head to used a green card blank with a black MB 'Chloe Stem' die cut inlaid (keeping the one layer) and a black stamped sentiment. However, the finished card didn't look quite right, as the die cut in the green card was too low, leaving too much space above. So I chopped off the front of the card, trimmed it down to make it look more balanced and attached it to a black card blank.
I am joining in the following challenges with this card:
As my green card was no longer a One Layer, I started again with a bright pink card blank, inlaying the black die cut.

These two cards left me with green and pink MB 'Chloe Stem' die cuts. Rather than put them in my box of unused shapes, where they would probably get unused and forgotten for quite a long time, I made them into a third CAS card.

Love how you created three fabulous cards from one inspiration x
ReplyDeleteFab trio of cards, but of course it's the pink one layer one that has stolen my heart. Perfectly CAS. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, that is one of my all time favourite dies and you've made it really star in these cards
ReplyDeleteJane
Well done for cracking the one layer card and also for 'rescuing' the one that didn't quite work. Good idea to use up the 'spare' flowers at the same time. Things do tend to languish in boxes for a very long time - don't ask me how I know this LOL!!
ReplyDeleteThree fantastic CAS cards and all using that pretty Chloe stem. I love the way the green card morphed as it goes beautifully with the black, and the pink one layer is so bright and pretty and perfect for the LIM Challege The last card using the two uused Chloe stems looks wonderful and the colours are gorgeous together. x
ReplyDeleteLove your sweet trio of CAS cards! Thank you so much for playing along with us at Happy Little Stampers.
ReplyDeleteI love all three cards, Liz! The base card colours are awesome! The pink and black for our challenge is just super, so vibrant, and I love how you used the scraps instead of letting them head for your stash. There's a lesson there for me...! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)
