Gone Fishing

A masculine card today with a summery feel as it's for a summer birthday.
The Little Claire 'Silhouette Boat' and sentiment stamps were stamped in Versafine 'Onyx Black' and the image was die cut with a Sizzix 'Stitched Rectangle'. (I think this particular stamp is only available as a digi now.)  I rarely use yellow on masculine card, but pale yellow kept the card looking light and summery.  For the background I used a Creative Expression Mask 'Wavy',  applying Adirondack 'Stream' and 'Sailboat Blue' ink with an Ink Duster.

    Great masculine card and the image gives a summery, relaxed feel. Great idea to use the 'wavy' stencil for the background - just right.

    This is a delightful masculine card Liz and the wavy stencil in the background suits the LC silhouette beautifully. I love that Sizzix stitched rectangle too. x

    Gorgeous card Liz, that background is perfect for it. Now, is he on a lake, a river or the sea? Because our current Cardz 4 Guyz challenge is "Beside the sea" and I reckon this card would be right at home in our gallery there!

      When I saw the Cardz 4 Guyz challenge, I asked myself the same question, Jane. I couldn't decide, but thinking about it, it looks like he's on an estuary, where a river meets the sea..... so I'll pop over the the challenge to link it up. xx

    That background is super for the theme and it gives it a really breezy feel. I love the lemon working with the blue, makes for a lovely sunny card x
