Welcome to my new follower, I hope you can stop by my blog again soon. If you have a blog, please leave me a comment so that I can visit you too.
Does anyone else feel like a rebel when they redesign at home a new fold they've learnt at a workshop, after being told it has to be done a certain way? I made a baby card on Friday at home, which I posted HERE, and I decided to make another card using my version, which makes a two-sided card. I don't know the name of this fold, but I'll be calling it my 'rebel fold'. LOL! This card is 7" x 5" rather than 6" x 4", so I had to change the measurements for the scorelines.
This is my card closed, using patterned text paper from Anna Marie designs. Like my baby card, I made a belly band and then added three punched stars, although the belly band could be left off if the card is posted.
This photo shows the card when it's opened. The image is an old, wood mounted Francoise Read stamp, 'William Wizard'. The date on the stamp is 2006 and I probably bought it not long after then, as I remember often using it for making birthday cards for the children in my Reception class at least ten years ago. The image was stamped in Memento 'Tuxedo Black', coloured with Promarkers, with sparkle added to the stars and moon with a glitter brush. The image and mat were die cut with Memory Box 'Stitched Rectangles'. The patterned paper was snippets left over from a magazine freebie paper pad. It was actually a Christmas paper pad, but the stars pattern was perfect to go with the wizard. More snippets were used for all the punched stars.
This photograph shows how the card stands up.
This is the back of the card when it's open, revealing the panel to write a message. When the card is closed the text panels become the front of the card.

ReplyDeleteYou asked me about an embossing folder that I used on my blog, but I can't email you the information, since I don't know your email address! The folder I used on that card is by Cuttlebug/Anna Griffin and is called Matelasse. It's one of my very favorites.
