Nautical

Welcome to my new follower, Lorraine of Rainey's Craft Room.  I hope you can stop by my blog again soon.

I've had a busy few days batch making Christmas cards of this design, so I'm ahead of my target with my Christmas cards for this year. 😇

The Twofer Challenge this month is 'Nautical'.  Two different designs, for two different occasions, using the same stamp, die or stencil.

I am joining in the Twofer Challenge #19 with this pair of cards.

The die I used on both cards was the larger yacht from the Poppystamps 'Marine Sailboats' set of dies.  I used red, pearlised card for the yacht.  The red mat was cut from the same red card and die cut using a Memory Box 'Stitched Square' die.  The dotty paper and the text paper were from Anna Marie Designs.  Three Card Candi finished off my card.

I am joining in the following challenges with this card:

My second card is a Joy Fold card.  I used the same yacht die for this card and the 'sea' was a die from the same set.  I attached the boat and the sea to blue mottled card, before die cutting with a Memory Box 'Stitched Square' die.  I punched a yellow circle for the sun and added a small Memory Box 'Puffy Cloud' die cut on a couple of foam pads.  The stencilling was done with Distress Inks and the embossing with a Creative Expressions 'Ocean Waves' e/f.  A red brad keeps the card closed.

The photograph shows the card open, revealing the space to write a message.

I am joining in the following challenges with this card:

  15. Oh Liz, what two amazing Twofer's! I love the sailboat you used on both cards. The first card has such a wonderful design, love the strip of paper going across. Love the fun polka dot paper too, I always think nautical with navy polka dot paper. I love that you made a joy fold card for your twofer, it is so much fun to open the flap to discover what is inside with the message. Such a fun scene you have created, I swear I can feel the ocean breeze blowing on me. lol I love the stenciling you did as well, gives such movement to this card. Well done on your twofers! Hugs, Brenda
