Inlaid Merry Christmas

A scheduled post today - I just have to remember to link it up to the challenges!

The Rudolph Days February Challenge starts today and runs until the end of the Month.  I decided to do a slight twist on the 'hidden message' card I made last month and inlay a white 'Merry' and a patterned paper 'Christmas' in the opposite colours.
The patterned paper came as a freebie with a magazine some time ago and was a snippet I had left over from a previous card.  I used another snippet to make the SB poinsettia die cut.  The poinsettia is raised up on foam pads and tiny gold peeloff circles added to the middle.  It was fairly quick to make, so I think this may be one of my designs for batch making this year.

Valentine

I'm trying to edit this post using my iPad as I've got no access to a computer for several weeks.  More about that in a future post.  The wifi signal isn't brilliant either, so fingers crossed this works!   I'm hoping to catch up on all my blog visiting too.

Welcome to my new follower, Janet Dockrill of Dotty's Crafty Antics. Thank you for following me.

A Valentine card for DH, which I can post now that he has received it.

The background is a SB die, 'Cascading Hearts', layered on stitched rectangle die cuts. The computer generated sentiment is die cut using SB Nestabilities heart dies.

Thank You

Welcome to my new followers, Janis of Craftingallday Creations and Chasity at Blue Cottage Farmhouse. Thank you for following me.

Today's card was quick to make, using just two NBUS dies and some Tonic Nuvo Crystal Drops.

I used a Sue Wilson background die from the Canadian collection. The die comes with an additional part which goes in the middle, so an all over daisy pattern can be made.  As I wanted to add a Sue Wilson 'Thank You' die cut, I left the middle of the purple card blank and just used one die from the set.  White Nuvo Crystal drops were put in the middle of each daisy and the card was finished.  All I had to do was leave the Crystal Drops to dry overnight.

Get Well, Football Fan!

If you follow my blog, you may remember that I made a 102nd birthday card last month for Kitty, who is still an active football supporter.  Well, I heard yesterday that unfortunately Kitty had a fall a couple of days ago, fractured her hip and is recovering from her operation in hospital.  As I wanted to make a card to catch the last post yesterday, this card was made in less than 20 minutes!
As usual I made her a card with lots of texture and contrast in colours so she can see it easily.  I know she will appreciate and football themed card in the team colours of blue and white. The die is a NBUS one which I saw used on Janice's blog HERE, which is a really good size for a focal point, especially for someone with poor eyesight!.  The embossing folder used is by Crafts Too.  I die cut the football in black card, layered it on white card and attached it to the card with foam pads. (The thick black line at the bottom of the football is the shadow.) Small, white, punched circles were added to show the flight path of the ball.  The football looks a bit too large for the card in the photo, but it looks fine IRL
