Lavinia Stamp Challenge 1 # ‘Anything Goes’

After visiting the Hobbycraft craft fair at the NEC last weekend, I added a new Lavinia stamp to my ever-growing collection. The background behind the silhouette was done using Adirondack 'Red Pepper', 'Sunshine Yellow' and 'Sunset Orange' inks and I used the same inks to colour the vertical strips. An Embossalicious Petite Dots Embossing Folder was used for the background. As it's a 6 x 6 embossing folder, it's great for square cards.

Post-it Note Holder

Fiskarettes had a competition this week to make a card, scrapbook page or home decor using border punches.  Well....being a fan of border punches I decided to make a decorative Post-it Note Holder, using an inexpensive acrylic photo frame.  I used the Fiskars Sunburst and Threading Water border punches and used Card Candi as embellishments.  The colours match my craft room.

Card Sketch Challenge - #2

Another week and another card sketch challenge.  This time I decided to use a stamp I've had for a long time but haven't got round to using.  I used the Swiss Dot embossing folder for the background.

Card Sketch Challenge

I decided to take part in a Card Sketch challenge on the Splitcoast Stampers website.  Here is the card I made using the sketch to design my card.

Easter Cards

Easter is fast approaching!  Here are a couple of cards I made this week, using chick and rabbit Sizzix dies.

Cards for special occasions

Well.... after having trouble uploading photos onto my blog for some time, which was totally out of my control, it looks like things are working again.  There have been a lot of special occasions recently and here are a few of the cards I've made.
The idea for design for this one was sent to me by my friend Lynne and the original design was done by Connie Stewart.  There's a great demo on how to make it on You Tube.
It was just perfect for a formal occasion!

This is the first of three side-stepper cards I made recently, this one to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday.

Next  an engagement card for the son and future daughter-in-law of a friend of mine.

Finally a 70th birthday card for a Bristol Rovers fan! The Stampin' Up owl punch can be used in SO many different ways. It is one of my favourite punches.
