Christmas in July

I'm sneaking in with a last minute card for the Rudolph Days Challenge which closes today.

I haven't had much time to craft for the last couple of weeks as our bathroom is being transformed in to shower room with a walk in shower.  There are piles of building materials everywhere and as for the dust...... it gets everywhere!  Hopefully it will be finished by the end of next week.  I did manage to get into my craft room today and sort out a few things at the back of a cupboard.  I came an envelope with ten dark red card blanks with cream stars.  I've no idea where they came from and I can't remember buying them, so I guess they were given to me a long time ago.  I die cut a Memory Box 'Leaping Reindeer' in cream.  The sentiment is a stamp from the Woodware 'Useful Christmas' set, stamped with Versafine 'Crimson Red' on a snippet of cream card.  I corner rounded the corners and attached the sentiment with foam pads to add some dimension.  So a very quick card today and I think I will make a few more using some of the other card blanks as I'm really behind making my Christmas cards this year.

Birthday Cards

A friend celebrated her big birthday recently and I made her this Flying Seagull card.

The flower is a stamp from the Woodware 'Mini Flowers' set, coloured with Promarkers.  The papers are from The Range.  I used number dies from the Works.  Three enamel dots finished off my card.

A second card today, made for my nephew.  He isn't particularly interested in sport or drinking, so I always find his card difficult to make.  I decided on a CAS underwater theme.
I use a snippet of silver mirror card with a Memory Box 'Oceana Corner' die.  The blue card was also from my blue snippets drawer, so I'll be sharing my card over in the Snippets Playground.

Teal and Pink

It was my daughter's birthday on Saturday and this is the card I made for her.

The card base was made with a Crafter's Companion 'Triple-Stepper' set of dies.  The patterned papers were from The Works.  The flowers are Creative Expressions 'Daisy Blossoms' die cuts.

Allsorts Challenge ~ Pretty Flowers

Lynn has chosen the Allsorts theme this week and she would like to see all your creations with 'Pretty Flowers'.  As always, there is the option of Anything Goes.

I only discovered the Crafty Roo website just before they closed down.  This 'Bulb Border' stamp was one of the ones I bought in the closing down sale.  I coloured the image with Promarkers and added three purple sequins.

Snippet Strips

A card made for a friend who celebrated her birthday recently.

I used a rectangle of navy blue card, just a slightly smaller than the card base.  I cut snippets of patterned paper into strips of random widths and layered them onto a the navy rectangle in a pattern leaving a small gap between each strip.  The sentiment is a stamp from the Stampin Up  'Humming Along', stamped with SU 'Night of Navy'.  The sentiment was layered on a navy mat and attached to the card with foam pads to add some dimension.  This was the second card I made using this technique and I've just realised that I didn't ever post the first one on my blog, so I'll add it below.

The sentiment is from the same set of stamps I used on my first card.

Allsorts Challenge ~ For A Child

It's my turn to introduce the new Allsorts theme and I've chosen 'For A Child'.  As always there is the option of Anything Goes.

I made a stepper card using Presscut 'Step Card' die.  The image is a very old Lavina Stamp, one of the first ones I ever bought, not long after they started producing stamps 20 years ago.  I coloured the image with Promarkers adding sparkle to the fairy's dress, wings and crown with Wink of Stella glitter pens. I used Sizzix 'Stacked Label' dies to die cut the image and mat.  All the red card is non-shed red glitter card, although the sparkle doesn't show up in the photograph. The sentiment was cut with a die from the Lisa Horton 'Word Strips - Volume 1' set.  I made the little flowers with punches.

There will be 2 Allsorts winners and the prizes are Saturated Canary and HM stamps.
