Allsorts Challenge ~ Getting Sentimental

Brenda has chosen the theme for this week's Allsorts Challenge and she has chosen 'Getting Sentimental'.  As always there is always the option of 'Anything Goes'.  I made this card for a friend who recently lost a much loved family pet.

I use a Stamp Market 'Paper Hug' die and layered it on a Memory Box 'Stitched Rectangle Layers' die cut.  The background was embossed with a 'Pawprint Lattice' e/f by Sue Wilson. I added a strip of ribbon layered on a yellow mat.

Prizes are a selection of Woodware sentiment stamps from Craft Stash.

Word Christmas Tree

It’s the 25th of the month, so time for another Rudolph Days Challenge. This design was quick and easy to make, so I made 20 cards as I’m a bit behind with my Christmas cards this year.

The stamp is Woodware ‘Word Tree’ which I stamped using Versafine Clair ‘Green Oasis’.   The stamp is one I bought recently and used for the first time, so I’ll be sharing my card in the NBUS challenge.  I coloured the star and heart with Promarkers and added a little sparkle with a clear Wink of Stella.  I die cut the image with a Memory Box ‘Stitched Rectangle Layers’ die and layered it on a red mat.

Allsorts Challenge ~ Delightful Animals

The Allsorts Challenge begins today and Lolo has chosen the theme of 'Delightful Animals'.  It would be lovely to see all your beautiful animal creation, but there is also the optional theme of 'Anything Goes'.  A crafty friend has her birthday this week and as she is a dog lover and I know she likes CAS cards, this is what I came up with.

I got the inspiration for my card design from Sarn's blog HERE.  I die cut the sentiment in red and blue and used one word from each colour. The dog is a Stampin' Up punch I bought ages ago when it was in a sale and I used it for the first time on this card.  I layered the dog on Memory Box 'Stitched Circle Layers' die cuts.  The little red hearts were the waste left over from a die used in a previous project.

Prizes are from  AALL and Create

As I had two words left over, I decided to make a second card.
This time a made a flower using dies from the Creative Expressions  'Daisy Blossoms' set of dies.  The white layers were made with dies from the Craftwork Cards 'Circle Window Nesting Dies' and Memory Box ' 'Stitched Scalloped Circles'. Everything on both cards was from my snippets drawer, except for the card blanks.

Fractured Card

This is my first attempt at a fractured card.  Everything was snippets, apart from the card blank.
I die cut a pink heart using a Memory Box 'Sofia Heart’ die. I used the same die in a Memory Box ‘Stitched Square Layers’ die cut,  inlaid the pink heart, then inlaid the white ‘waste’ back  inside the heart.  All the pink patterned paper was snippets from The Works.  I found a snippet of white paper already embossed with hearts and managed to cut two triangles to fit with the hearts going in the right direction. I assembled all the pieces on a rectangle of white card, another snippet, just smaller than the card blank, so I could leave a little white border on my card.

Thank You

We recently attended a barbecue hosted by friends of ours and this is the card I made to thank them.

I used a Crafter's Companion Gemini 'Thank You for Everything Stamp and Die' set for the sentiment, stamping the text with Versafine Clair 'Nocturne'.   The image is a  DigiStamp Boutique 'BBQ Stan' digi stamp which I coloured with Promarkers.  I added a pair of tongs made with dies from Sue Wilson's 'King of the Grill'.

Allsorts Challenge ~ Summer Days

Another Allsorts Challenge begins today and runs for two weeks.  Sarah has chosen the theme of 'Summer Days'.  As always, there is also the Anything Goes option.  I love being near the sea on a lovely summer's day, so I've made a nautical themed fancy fold card.

The patterned paper is from a Trimcraft ' Sail Away' paper pad. I used a die from the Memory Box 'Marina Sailboats' set and layered it on Lisa Horton 'Stitched Scalloped Layered Squares' die cuts.  The cloud is a Memory Box 'Puffy Cloud' die cut and I used a punch for the anchors.

There are lovely prizes to be won from Stampendous.

Split Stepper Card with Pop-Out

I made this card after seeing this fold demonstrated on the Nifty Noodles Crafting Facebook page.  The card folds flat for posting.

The background was a sheet of blue ombré card, embossed with an Embossalicious 'Clouds' embossing folder.  I added a few Memory Box 'Puffy Clouds' die cuts. The balloon is a stamp from the Lisa Horton's  'Let's Fly Away' set, stamped with Memento 'Tuxedo Black' and coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut.  The balloon is attached to the fold with a small snippet of card. The rabbits are a mixture of Memory Box and Joanna Sheen die cuts.  I used a Die-namics 'Fresh Cut Grass' die cut for the rabbits to sit on.

I actually remembered to take a photo of my snippets this time, so I'll be sharing my card over in The Playground.  Just realised that I forgot to take a photo of the grass and balloon snippets.

Crafty Calendar Challenge ~ Anything Goes

The August Crafty Calendar Challenge begins today with the theme of Anything Goes.  I've made a Fancy Fold card, which folds flat for posting.

The butterfly was made with a die gifted to me by a crafty friend and I added a few pearls for the body.  The patterned papers are from The Range. The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up 'Best Year', stamped with Versafine Clair 'Nocture'.

The flowers were die cut with Creative Expressions  'Daisy Blossoms' dies and I added a plain matted panel inside for the message.

The Crafty Calendar Challenge ends on the 28th August and there are some beautiful stamps to be won this month. Please hop over to the challenge blog to see the lovely creations the DT have made for inspiration.
