Zesty Zing

The 'That's Crafty' challenge theme is 'Zesty Zing'.  Now orange is a colour I very rarely use on my cards, but I guess it fits into the theme with the zesty colours of lemon and lime, so this took me a bit out of my comfort zone.  I had an idea in my head for a design....but this wasn't it....apart from the stamp.  My card sort of evolved as I went along.
The stamp is an old wood mounted Stampendous stamp, 'Glasgow Rose Garden'.  I stamped it in the top corner of the card blank and coloured it with Promarkers.  I used a MB 'Grand Happy Birthday' die and attached the die cut over the bottom of the card.  I decided it looked too plain to leave it as it was, so I added a Poppystamp 'Small Flower Box' die cut, attached with foam pads to give a little dimension.  I didn't have any small green pearls, so I coloured three white ones with the Promarker I used for the leaves.  So that is my card, which looks nothing like I intended!

  3. I often find I start with a plan but it takes on a life of its own. The card is lovely and summery though, very cheerful.

    1. I must have bought it at least 10 years ago, so it's probably been discontinued. I can't remember seeing it anywhere recently. :-( xx
