It's ages since I played with my alcohol inks, but I wanted to make a background for the last ATC for Janis's challenge and I thought an alcohol ink background would be perfect. My other three ATCs for the challenge are in my previous post.
The last theme is 'Chocolate' and I had the perfect Woodward stamp in the set 'Take It Easy' for the challenge. With the temperatures plummeting this week in the UK, I might indulge a mug or two of the real thing! I stamped the image with Memento 'Tuxedo Black' and coloured it with Promarkers, before die cutting it with a stitched die from The Works. I used a three shades of brown alcohol inks on glossy card.
I am joining in the following challenges with my ATC:
While I had the inks out, I made a few more backgrounds, including this one made with red and green inks for a Christmas card. The frame was made with two Sue Wilson 'Double Pierced Rectangle' dies. The gold mirror card die cut is Sue Wilson's 'Christmas Tree Greetings'.
I am joining in the following challenge with my card:

Love your backgrounds,these are gorgeous.x
ReplyDeleteI love those cards and wonderful backgrounds. I have not played with alcohol inks in ages. Looks like it would be fun too!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to get out something to play with that hasn't been used for while. With so many lovely inks on the market now, alcohol inks aren't seen so often, but I love the way they work together.
ReplyDeleteI was interested to see your ATC's. I used to make lots for swaps, but it became too difficult when I moved to Spain. The postage was high and too slow, but I enjoyed making those little pieces of art.
I like your tree script die too. Ideal for that background. Kate x
I've just been enjoying hot chocolate, it's the only thing for this weather. What a great background for your card. I love the red too. The colours are so rich.
ReplyDeleteFabulous backgrounds, love the ATC and the word Christmas tree works a treat with it.
