The March Craftlandia Challenge begins today and Mariela has chosen the theme of 'Hummingbirds or Anything Goes'.
I decided to ink up my Lavinia Stamps 'Hummingbird - small' stamp for the first time. I used Versafine Clair ink pads for all the stamping and coloured in the stamped hummingbird with Polychromos pencil crayons. I covered the coloured hummingbird with a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush to add some sparkle. The wreath was made with Lavinia 'Lucky Clover Mini' and 'Flowers Mini' stamps, using my Sizzix Stamp and Spin Tool. The circles were die cut with a Sue Wilson 'Double Pierced Circles' dies. I added some subtle lilac stencilling to the background with a Lavinia 'Ambience' stencil and Distress Oxide 'Wilted Violet'. The stencilling show up more IRL.
The challenge ends on 30th March, so please hop over to the challenge blog to see the beautiful creations the DT have made.

Your card is stunning, Liz. Never used Polychromos to colour my stamping, but definitely I will do it. The humming seams beautiful and I love the light stenciled background. Great inspiration for Craftlandia Challenge. Big hugs, my friend.

Your wreath looks so pretty with the hummingbird.
ReplyDeleteUna tarjeta muy linda.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful humming bird - and card!!
ReplyDeleteThe soft wreath framing that vibrant little hummingbird feels so balanced and intentional. The mix of Lavinia minis gives the circle such gentle movement, and the lilac stenciling adds just enough atmosphere without competing with the focal point. The coloring on the bird is beautifully done, and the touch of shimmer really brings it to life.
