It's my turn to choose the theme for the Allsorts Challenge. I've chosen 'Monochrome', so I would love to see your cards using black and white or shades of one colour. As always there is also the option of Anything Goes.
I saw this style of card demonstrated on the Nifty Noodles Crafting Facebook page, I'm not sure if it has a name. The front middle panel lifts up to reveal the message. The papers are from The Range.
I die cut a Memory Box 'Chloe Stem' flower and attached to the front panel. The layered sentiment is attached with foam pads.
This is the back of the card.
This card was much more simple to make. I saw the instructions for making it on Di's blog HERE.
An advantage of making this style of card is that with the leftover pieces of patterned paper, you can make a second card.
The patterned paper is from The Range. The sentiment is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Humming Along' set, stamped with Versafine Clair 'Monarch'. I hand cut a mat for the sentiment and raised it up on foam pads.
There are two prizes for the Allsorts Challenge, a A5 stamp set and an A6 stamp and stencil.
There will be a very special challenge for our 17th Birthday on 23rd June, so be sure to mark the date in your diary.

I saw your card on Allsorts and came for a closer look- I love the fabulous fold and beautiful paper, do you have a tutorial for the card by any chance?

2very pretty cards Liz and excellent use of fancy folds as usual xx
ReplyDeleteYour fancy fold card is great and not a style I've come across. The second design (2 of them) is a great way of using patterned paper and getting two cards for one idea.
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards Liz, the first one is a great shaped card and like the papers, great design on the second one too. Appreciate you letting us know where to find the instructions!
ReplyDeleteThat first card is so cool and pretty and special!! Very, very lovely. The second card is very lovely, also. :-)
ReplyDeleteTwo wonderful mono cards and a wonderful fold.

ReplyDeleteYou blow me away with your fancy folds Liz, these are wonderful cards and thank you for such a great theme too xx
ReplyDeleteThree beauties Liz,the first cards food looks complicated off to have a look
ReplyDeleteSuch a striking fancy fold in your zig zag design, and the bold flowers with the decorative die cut circle create a beautiful focal point while the rich colors and clean lines keep the entire card looking polished and confident in its structure.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards Liz, both perfect for your monochrome theme. one of my favourites!

ReplyDeleteGreat folded card! And I love the patchwork on the second one! (went to a quilt exhibition with my mam yesterday and loved the different quilts they showed) Enjoy the Sunday!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards very well designed with the monochromatic papers! x
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous cards Liz. The first one has so much opportunity to go mad with the embellishments. I would have to be stopped lol. Love your design. The second card is so pretty in your chosen colours.
ReplyDeleteTwo brilliant cards Liz. The second is my favourite, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty and unique cards . . . love the folds on the top one .
ReplyDeleteTwo great shaped card designs Liz and such pretty papers on each with the greens and then the purples on the second. I love the leafy dps and the added white die cut flower goes brilliantly on the first, and the shapes of the pieces on the second work perfectly as you can make two cards by using the leftover pieces..a wonderful twofer. x
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely cards with pretty papers xxx
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards Liz - your fancy folds never cease to amaze me! Hugs, Kate!
ReplyDeleteWOWSER - you’ve surpassed yourself with that amazing shaped card at the top of the post Liz. It’s a beauty.
