Double Point Fold Card

The Butterfly Challenge this time is 'D for Double Point Fold'.  I haven't seen this fold before, but there are several tutorials over on the Butterfly Challenge blog HERE.   I think I've covered all the 'D' elements in the challenge - Double Point Fold Card/ Diamonds/ Delft Blue/ Damson/ Dandelion + your Butterfly.  I used diamante gems for the diamonds.  (It's such a dull and gloomy day today, it's hard to get a good photo showing the true colours.)

I used two dandelion yellow and white patterned papers from a Dovecraft paper pad, layered on a delft blue mat.  The middle panel was die cut with Stampin' Up 'Stitched Nested Labels' dies and attached just to the top pointed fold.  I didn't have any damson coloured card, so I die cut the butterfly in white and coloured it with a damson coloured Promarker.  Two diamante gems finished off my card.

The card front opens up like this to reveal the stamped sentiment and little butterflies.

The blue mat was attached to a side opening card blank.

Autumn Colours

I don't usually post twice in one day, but as it's so cold and drizzly outside I decided to stay inside and make another card.  Please scroll down if you'd like to see my first post today.

I used a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Beauty Abounds', stamped it three times with Versafine Clair 'Acorn' and coloured the images with Promarkers.  The images were layered on brown mats.  The sentiment is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Postive Thoughts', stamped with the same ink pad as the images.  I die cut the sentiment banner and mat by hand and raised it up on foam pads.

Green and White

A green and white card today.

The image is an old wood mounted stamp,  'Glasgow Butterfly' by Stampendous, coloured with Promarkers.  I die cut the image with a Memory Box 'Stitched Circle Layers' die and layered it on a Memory Box 'Stitched Scalloped Circle' die cut.  The layered image is raised up on foam tape. The sentiment is a stamped with a Stampin' Up 'Positive Thoughts' stamp and a metallic green ink pad.   I embossed the bottom of the card with a preloved Tattered Lace e/f.  As this is the first time I've used this embossing folder, I'll be sharing my card over in the NBUS challenge.  I added a strip of green ribbon across the middle of the card.

Christmas Wreath

A Christmas card today to join in with a few challenges.

I embossed a piece of white card, slightly smaller than the card blank, with a brick effect embossing folder.   I used a new (NBUS) wreath die from the Sizzix 'Wreath & Snowflake' set with green card and added tiny red pearls for berries.  The bow was made with a Sue Wilson die.   The sentiment is a stamp is from the Stampin' Up 'Greatest Part of Christmas' set, stamped in red onto a piece of vellum and wrapped round the embossed card.
